We believe that giving is about much more than money. Giving is about who and what we worship. As followers of Jesus Christ, we’re called to be relentlessly generous, just as Jesus has been to us. We’re called to give cheerfully—happy that our joy is in God and not in things.

Tithes and offerings are an important part of Christianity because, by giving, we put our love for God before our love for money. Giving also supports the church to spread the Gospel and teach the Bible to members. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

A tithe is a portion (10%) of your income given as an offering to your local church. (Fun fact: The word tithe literally means tenth in Hebrew.) Because the custom of tithing is biblical, many Christians practice it as part of their faith.
